I had an opportunity today to train someone using the new Cisco WebEx collaborative tool. The experience was indeed, a very positive one. Historically I have used other collaboration tools which shall remain nameless and each have been adequate, sometimes good, but mostly adequate. Cisco’s WebEx is the best tool I have used thus far.
Technical support was not required as the trainee’s end was intuitive enough so the trainee joined the conference without issue. I was able to communicate by video and audio and also provide a presentation to my client for training purposes.
For those who are interested I operate on a home-based network with a basic Internet cable provided. Sometimes bandwidth can be an issue in these cases but today, with WebEx, my client reported my video and audio as being very good. A special thanks to Randy for trying this out with me.
